ZEISS camera software: ZEN 2 Starter
ZEISS ZEN is the successor to Axiovision; after ZEN 2001 and 2012 it is now available in version 2 as ZEN 2 Starter and ZEN 2 Core. The Starter version is available free of charge and we include it with every ZEISS microscope camera sold. It allows you to configure the microscope camera, take pictures, perform simple measurements, and create reports.
A measuring module is available with the Starter version for extensive and complex measuring sequences as well as an image analysis module for automating your analysis.
After a short period of familiarisation with the software, you will be able use it to interactively control the entire workflow: image acquisition, processing and analysis. As the free Zen 2 Starter (or Zen 2 Lite) version, the software offers an extensive range of functions that cover the most important requirements.
ZEN stores the image data and all the hardware and software settings in the specially developed .czi image format. Use these metadata to reproduce image acquisition conditions and experiments and to document the development of your data.
ZEN lets you control all Carl ZEISS imaging systems via a common user interface. Frequently used functions bring the software to the forefront of your workflow. Buttons that are rarely used will be hidden.
Nevertheless, if necessary, everything can be once more carried out via a single click. ZEN's range of functions is tailored to your needs and is always visible, so that nothing distracts you from your work.
ZEISS' hardware recommendations:
- CPU: Intel Core i5-4670 3.0GHz
- chipset: Intel Q87 chipset
- 8GB DDR3 RAM
- screen: at least 22" with a resolution of at least 1920x1080
- Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
