Excellent image quality and resolution
We offer microscopy cameras with excellent image quality and resolution that will reveal the finest details of your samples and workpieces. With state-of-the-art sensor technology and advanced image processing algorithms, you’ll get crisp images with true-to-life colours and a wide dynamic range. Whether you want to examine biological samples, carry out material analyses or simply document your microscopic discoveries, these cameras will deliver outstanding results.
Flexible connection options and simple operation
Microscopy cameras are versatile and can be easily connected to a wide variety of microscope models. Thanks to the flexible connection options on offer, especially with the so-called C-mount adapter, you can easily connect these cameras to your existing microscope or integrate them into a new microscope system. There are adapter solutions for both binocular and trinocular microscopes. The cameras come with user-friendly software that ensure easy operation and a variety of image capture and processing functions. This allows you to view your samples in real time, take measurements, and analyse your results instantly. Depending on your needs, you can choose between cameras with different interfaces for image and data transmission.
- HDMI connectors are designed to connect the camera directly to a screen. These are stand-alone cameras that have integrated software on a built-in processor. The only add-on you will need is a screen for visualization. The images can be saved to a SD card.
- Cameras with a USB port must be used with a computer. You will need to install software on your computer for this. Of course, this software offers plenty of other possibilities. See "Advanced Functions" for more information.
- There are also wireless solutions using Wi-Fi/WLAN. Depending on the manufacturer, both mobile devices and computers can be connected to the camera over the same network, the keywords here are: "the digital classroom".
Interfaces can also complement one other. For example, there are cameras that have multiple interfaces.
Adapter choice
As mentioned above, there are adaptor solutions for both trinocular and binocular microscopes (eyepiece adapters). Standardised adapters are offered either by each manufacturer or for each microscope series. Your camera adapter must fit your existing or planned microscope. The adapter must, of course, also fit your camera. The size of the sensor is decisive here. The optimal utilization of the camera sensor is generally stated in terms of its aspect ratio (½ inches, ⅓ inches, ...). For a ½ inch camera, for example, choose a 0.5x camera adapter. If having an overview is important to you, you should select a greater reduction, if you want more details, select a smaller reduction which will give an image of a smaller section of your sample. If the advantages of microscopy cameras are less important to you, you can also connect a conventional system camera using an adapter.
Advanced functions for demanding applications
For demanding applications, our microscopy cameras offer a range of advanced features. From fluorescence and phase contrast imaging to 3D rendering and time-lapse imaging, cameras open up a world of possibilities. By integrating live streaming capabilities, you can even share your research results and findings in real time with colleagues and the scientific community. In schools, you can turn your classroom into a digital classroom. The large variety of available cameras enables you to find the optimum combination of features for every application. When choosing your camera, you should pay attention to the camera’s technical specifications. For example, for darkfield or fluorescence applications, select a camera with large pixels, which should be at least 2.4μm. The number of frames per second captured (fps) should be high when viewing moving samples or when making live broadcasts over large screens. Software can also include interesting features. For example, the quality of the images can be further increased by using "stacking" to increase the depth of focus for larger objects and "stitching" to combine several images to create a mosaic.
