Omegon Mount Mini Track LX3

I have used the Omegon Mount Mini Track LX3 set to take many night sky photos from my location in Arizona, USA. I have mounted my full frame DSLR camera on the LX3, which in turn is mounted on a sturdy tripod. To make one final image, I have taken 12 or more 1-minute or 2-minute exposures with a 20mm lens set on f/3.5, ISO 200, and carefully focused at infinity. Results are incredible: all stars are pinpoint sharp and there are no star trails whatsoever. Stacking the 12 images in a commercial program results in a perfect image with every star extremely sharp. To accomplish this, the LX3 must track at an absolutely constant rate, and it does a fantastic job of it. I've never used a battery-powered tracker, but it's hard to imagine how an electronic tracker would do a better job of tracking to achieve pinpoint-sharp stars.
