Customer reviews

good scope, poor guiding system

( 3 / 5 )

Telescope itself is very good, I use it for both - planetary imaging and deep space photography, however the EXOS 2 system is quite poorly designed. Tracking is super sensitive to balancing, you need to be 100% balanced otherwise tracking is lagging behind and you cant do long exposures/target goes out of field of view. Object finding is not precise even with telescope being aligned by 3 star method. Whoever designed the controller deserves a special place in hell. It beeps very loudly. Directional arrow buttons are too close together to settings menu - when working outside with gloves on it is easy to press the wrong button and put telescope in the alignment mode. It comes supplied with a battery power pack - it is completely rubbish, you will get at very best some 2-3h of proper voltage out of it, after that - as voltage starts to drop, the tracking starts to lag more and more - so proper power pack is needed.
