Customer reviews

Better for shorter refractors

Review by P. S. on 04.02.2013 16:26:46

( 3 / 5 )

I made the mistake of buying this mount for use with a TAL100RS. Although the mount can take the weight, the long length of the scope gives it a high torque moment which leads to a wobbly image! The image takes maybe half a minute to become steady after touching the scope in any way and if it's windy at all then just forget it!

On the other hand, the mount is very nice to use and, with the optional slow motions, easy to track with.
It should be fine for shorter refractors but don't buy it for use with a TAL100RS!
