With the introduction of the BA210 Elite model, Motic has once again addressed the needs of schools and other educational establishments for an entry-level microscope for translucent specimens. Designed for ease of use and durability, the BA210E offers the entire education sector a robust mechanical design combined with improved optical performance.

EC PLAN OPTICS
EC PLAN OPTICS FOR EXCELLENT IMAGE RESULTS
All EC Plan Achromatics, from 4X to 100X, deliver improved contrast for both the human eye and digital sensors via the photo output. The optional lenses (available in positive & negative versions) offer great variability for many different applications, especially for phase contrast microscopy. The N-WF eyepieces start with the standard 10X/20mm field of view, enable dioptre adjustment (+/-5 dpt) for both eyes, and thus allow the accurate use of reticles.
Handling
FOR ROBUST HANDLING IN DAY-TO-DAY WORK
The Motic BA210E is designed especially with demanding applications in day-to-day laboratory work in mind. The coated stage operates without a rack and pinion and allows the safe and long-lasting processing of different types of samples. The BA210E’s standard tubes have a 30° viewing angle for viewing comfort. The inter-pupillary distance can be adjusted between 55-75mm, depending on individual requirements. The photo tube with a 100:0 / 20:80 beam splitter allows the integration of various digital camera systems and thus the presentation of microscopic images to a larger audience.
Illumination
INTERCHANGEABLE HAL/LED ILLUMINATION
The BA210E delivers proven 30W halogen illumination in a fixed Köhler setup. The light source can easily be exchanged for LED modules with different colour temperatures. The importance of LEDs as a safe and long-lasting light source has increased significantly, especially in education, where extended service life and reduced heat generation compared to halogen light sources are becoming increasingly important. A high-quality condenser with NA 1.25 and iris diaphragm for the visualisation of weak or non-stained samples is included in the package.
Contrast method
IN LINE WITH MOTIC’S UPRIGHT BA MICROSCOPES
The BA210E fits perfectly into the Motic BA series upright microscope concept. An upgrade with phase contrast (positive & negative version), simple dark field, POL contrast, and even LED fluorescence is easy to carry out. The BA210E exceeds the limits of a basic transmitted light microscope, allowing the use of additional contrast methods, for training even on a limited budget.
