Built with students in mind, the CX23 microscope is not only durable but also reliable. It is easy to carry around the classroom thanks to a number of special design elements:

Safety features help ensure that the eyepieces, observation tube, objectives, and stage are protected from damage while being transported or during prolonged and repeated use.

Outstanding optical properties

Uniform LED illumination with consistent colour temperature provides vivid colors for all sample types. The economical LED lamp has a 20,000-hour long lifetime and low power consumption.

The CX23 microscope also features a high field number (FN) of 20, offering a wider field of view. Its specially designed plan achromat objectives help ensure a distortion-free image across the entire field of view.

The CX23 microscope is designed to support comfortable use. Every user can easily adjust their own interpupillary distance and eyepoint height, and left and right dioptre compensation ensures the correct focus for each eye. A locking pin keeps the observation tube in place when in use.

Easy handling of specimens

The CX23 microscope ensures ease of specimen handling and the related setting adjustments, thanks to its user-oriented design features:

• Inward-facing objective nosepiece provides easy access to the stage, ensuring that specimens are quickly changed, and immersion oil can easily be applied if necessary
• Plan achromat objectives with a long working distance provide more room for thick specimens and slides
• Coaxial rotary knobs are easily accessed from either side of the microscope, allowing quick fine or coarse focusing adjustments

Prevent damage to the microscope or specimens

To protect the microscope and specimen, the CX23 is equipped with safety mechanisms to prevent damage:

• The focus lock prevents the objective from damaging the specimen.
• The torque release function protects both the coarse focusing and the stage mechanism from excess force.

Storing your CX23 microscope is made easy thanks to these practical features:

• Storage compartment located on the back of the microscope for stowing the power cable and AC adaptor
• Built-in Kensington slot for attaching an anti-theft cable

The CX23 is one of the lightest microscopes compared to others in its class*, weighing approximately 5.9 kg. The non-slip carrying handles and v-shaped grip enable the user to comfortably and safely carry the microscope. The observation tube and eyepieces are secured to the microscope to limit any damage and/or loss while it is being moved.
